Zac out in Beverly Hills

Continuing to increase in frequency, Zac Efron was spotted out in Beverly Hills on Wednesday to attend another business meeting.

In recent weeks, the High School Musical hunk has been involved in negotiations to return for the third installment of the hit Disney franchise.

As reported this past weekend by Gossip Girls, Efron met with filmmaker Kenny Ortega, who was carrying papers under his arm which appeared to be a script for the highly anticipated HSM3.

However, Zac is still yet to finalize a contract for the movie, which begins filming this January. Most belive that the 20-year-old is holding out for more money.

Disney has previously released the following statement in regards to the situation: "We are still in negotiations with all of the High School Musical stars."

But from all of the recent activity, it seems like an announcement could be coming any time now.

Zac's day of basketball

We’ve all seen silly trends being perpetuated by high-profile celebs, but this one’s never gonna stick. Zac Efron loves to pull his hair up into a little front-ponytail, and we’ll let you decide if it’s hot or not.

The High School Musical Stud was hooping it up at basketball practice yesterday at the First Presbyterian Church in Hollywood.

There are rumors that his next role in the movie “Seventeen” involves him playing a little b-ball, and he’s therefore polishing his court skills in preparation.

And Efron was looking sporty as ever, wearing his Adidas hightops and gym shorts with an AirMax 360 t-shirt.

Zac at the HSM3 meeting and at the gas station

Questions as to whether or not Zac Efron would be appearing in High School Musical 3 seem to have been answered this Saturday.

The Disney hunk was spotted at a "secret" meeting with the HSM series director, Kenny Ortega, in Los Angeles

Ortega was carrying what looked to be the new script, as the two chatted it up while enjoying weather.

Later the same day, Zac showed off his Calvin Kleins while stopping to get some gas. Chatting with photographers after not being able to get the gas pump to work, a paparazzo came to the rescue and paid $20 for Zac to get some petrol.

Zac out for a little b-ball

While his girlfriend has been busy house shopping and hitting the gym with her dad, Zac Efron has had things of his own going on.

Not one to waste the day, the High School Musical hunk was spotted out at a local basketball court on Thursday, where he showed off his moves for a solid two hours.

According to paparazzi on the scene, "The fitness fanatic was sporting a "Pre Lives" t-shirt in reference to American running icon Steve Prefontaine."

Back to the basketball... during a recent press tour for Disney's HSM, Zac told of his skill level: “I am not a basketball player. No stunt double, but I’m not that great of a basketball player. I had one real season under my belt, playing with kids who were so much better than me; it was embarrassing, I think I scored two points all season. So, it took a lot of practice to say the least.”
